The Hills Creek wetlands are part of a larger network that spans across four landowners’ properties, with everyone working together under a single expression of interest (EOI) to restore this important habitat.
At Hills Creek North, the restoration focused on controlling invasive weeds such as willow, installing fencing to keep stock out of the waterway, and completing native planting. These combined efforts have helped bring the wetland back to life, improving water quality, supporting biodiversity, and strengthening the wider Hills Creek wetland complex.
